Join artist and naturalist Betsy Bangley for an introduction to keeping a nature journal. No drawing experience is required. Learn techniques for recording what you see in nature and discover the self-care benefits of keeping a nature journal. We will begin indoors with inspiration and an introduction to techniques, then go outdoors to explore and create! All materials are provided. Please dress for the weather.

Learn from Dr. Kimberly Underwood, the Executive Director of the Alliance for Consumer Protection. Explore the foundations of personal finances and paying off debt faster in this eye-opening course. We give you tools to make healthy financial decisions with monthly expenses in the budgeting portion of our class. Also, we will shed light on how to make good decisions regarding paying off debt more quickly, saving on interest you pay, overall.
Credit Score Improvement
with Kimberly Underwood
Join Dr. Kimberly Underwood, the Executive Director of the Alliance for Consumer Protection, to learn all the essentials to get started on improving your credit score. The journey begins with details about getting access to your credit score on a constant (free!) basis and getting your credit report. Discussion continues with deciphering how to read your report and identifying problem areas that can be repaired. We finish the course with strategies to get your score moving upward and disputing inaccuracies that might be keeping your score low.
Online Security/Strong Passwords S1

Examine common internet and email security issues we all face with Dr. Kimberly Underwood, the Executive Director of the Alliance for Consumer Protection. Learn the important rules to follow when considering whether to click on a link or email attachment. Develop solid strategies for creating (and remembering!) your own strong passwords using tools provided in the course. Explore the specific instruments you need to keep your email, bank account, and personal information safe.
Medicare 101- Washington County

Consumer advocates note that Medicare eligible people get a much better deal if they know the facts. Learn about the Medicare and Medicare Advantage programs, supplement plans, and how to choose the correct Medicare plan. Topics include the four parts of Medicare (Parts A-D); enrollment periods and how to enroll, the most recent Medicare updates; eligibility requirements for the Medicare Extra Help Program; and community resources available to Medicare eligible. This course will help participants currently receiving Medicare as well as those preparing for the future. We are offering two sessions to accommodate expected enrollment. You only need to register for one.
